2.1.4. Education Nation needs cookies for technical functioning and improvement of the website. This is based on Education Nation’s legitimate interest in informing the general public about the services and contact information provided while ensuring the ease of use of the website.

2.2.1. Education Nation collects statistical data to help us increase the ease of use of our website, to improve the service, and finding out what users are looking for. Including, in particular, on what information and pages are most important to visitors, which language is preferred, how often our site is visited, what browser, operating system, resolution, and setting are used, which part of the website is more read, the unique visits, the time of visit, and which regions visitors come from.

The aim of the collection of the aforementioned data is to ensure ease of use of the website, and it is based on the legitimate interest of Education Nation to use of public funds entrusted to it to maintain the website in such a way that the website fulfills its goals in the best possible way.
2.3.1. Education Nation’s homepage is hosted by a server that can store your inquiries (the web address you want to open, the browser and device you use, IP address, and access time). These data are used only for technical purposes – to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website and to investigate cases where there may be a security risk.
2.3.2. The aim of the collection of the aforementioned data is to ensure the technical accessibility and security of the website, and it is based on the legitimate interest of Education Nation to informing the public about the services offered and of contact details.
Education Nation is not engaged in direct marketing.
Education Nation does not create individual profiles on www.educationnation.ee visitors.
2.6. Access to data
2.6.1. Only the staff of the Education Nation Communications and IT Centers Access have access to the statistical information of the visitors of the webpage as they are responsible for analyzing and updating the website’s data.
2.6.2. Education Nation’s partners working on website development, administration or hosting may have access to technical log files.
2.6.3. The Google Analytics tool provider, with access to the collected statistical data, is Google LLC. This is a large company that has taken steps to comply with the European Union’s privacy standards (EU–US Privacy Shield Data Protection Framework).
2.6.4. Google assumes the following obligations to users of the Google Analytics tool.
2.7 Data storage time
2.7.1. We use the collected statistical data for analyzes for up to three years.
2.7.2. Cookies are temporary. They will either expire immediately upon closing the browser, or apply for a day, week, or month, in some cases they may last up to a year.
2.8. Your rights regarding your data and how to enforce them
2.8.1. You can contact the employees responsible for data protection through e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. You are legally entitled to:
- request confirmation of processing of your personal data, access your personal data and receive information about them (purpose of the processing, processor(s), sources, etc.);
- ask for the correction, deletion or limitation of processing of your personal data or to object to such processing of personal data;

3. Right to complain and notification of breach
3.1. If you believe that your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Inspectorate or, if you are resident in another EU Member State, to the competent authority of the country concerned.
3.2. If a personal data breach is likely to constitute a serious threat to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we will inform the data subject of the personal data breach without an unjustified delay.
